Q6: HOW ARE YOU ENGAGING WITH OTHER COMMUNITIES?
All of our partners, supporters and advisers have been involved in environmental projects for many years at a regional and national level.
Hoylake Village Life CIC have not been involved thus far with other communities (our remit has been local) but this project will open up new opportunities to do so as it will have such regional and national significance.
HVL have a very strong track record of community engagement dating back to 2011.
This is supported by strong directors skillsets is in education, social media, photography, marketing, design and PR, all of which have been used to best advantage to produce the series of advocacy and awareness raising materials produced so far.
Liverpool Friends of the Earth are willing to assist us in networking with other local and regional organisations and climate change activists.
We are particularly keen to engage younger people in the project and to that end have been in conversation with the local primary school and look forward to developing project links with them.
We would like to extend this outreach work further; when the project moves onto these next stages, we will be in a much stronger position to grow an active volunteer team. Some funding will be needed to facilitate this work.
